Where should the system go? *

A whole-home filter is plumbed into the main line, so the price turns on how easy that line is to reach. If the spot you have in mind is more than 10 m from the meter, call or text us first — that is a bigger job than either answer below.

Whole-home water filter installation in Sydney

A whole-house system treats the water where it enters your property, so every tap, every shower and every appliance in the home runs on filtered water. You supply the unit, we install it at the mains for one fixed installation fee — shown in the price breakdown on this page — with no hourly rates and a 12-month workmanship warranty.

Suits sediment and carbon housings, twin and triple cartridge systems, and mains-pressure units from brands including Puretec, Filter Systems Australia, Waterco and similar.

What’s involved in the installation

  1. Locate and assess the mains — we find your water meter and main entry point, check the incoming pressure and choose the correct position for servicing access.
  2. Shut down and drain — the property supply is isolated at the meter and the line drained ready to cut in.
  3. Mount the housing — the unit is bracketed to a wall or fence on a solid backing board, at a height where cartridges can actually be changed without draining the system.
  4. Cut in and plumb — we cut into the main, install the inlet and outlet connections in the correct flow direction, and transition pipe materials properly where needed (copper, PEX or poly).
  5. Fit a bypass — isolation valves either side plus a bypass arrangement, so cartridges can be changed or the filter taken offline without cutting water to the house.
  6. Pressure test and recommission — the system is brought back up slowly, purged of air, checked at full mains pressure and every joint inspected.
  7. Check the whole house — we run taps through the property to confirm flow and pressure are where they should be, then clean up and remove packaging.

One system per home. A house only needs a single point of entry filter, so unlike our tap and under-sink work there is no multi-unit discount here — each whole-home installation is priced as a complete job on its own.

Why this is licensed work

Cutting into your water main is regulated plumbing work in NSW. Done badly it can drop pressure across the whole house, introduce contamination at the point of entry, or leak inside a wall cavity where you will not see it for months. A licensed plumber connects the system to plumbing standards and leak-tests the work.

Why it has to be a licensed plumberNSW licensing rules

Yours is done by ours — Lic. 498555C.

Warranty: what’s coveredOur workmanship · the maker’s warranty · your ACL rights

Our 12-month workmanship warranty covers the installation: the connections we made and the way we fitted it. If something we did causes a leak or a fault, we come back and put it right at no charge.

The system you supply keeps its own manufacturer’s warranty. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply on top of both.
