Taking a gas cooktop out and going electric instead? That is a smaller job — disconnection and gas cap-off is $170, and your electrician fits the new one.
All prices include GST. The same rates apply whether we supply the fixture or you provide your own through a Bring Your Own service — with two exceptions: a 3-piece tap set you supply is $220 rather than $180, because it takes longer to fit and needs different fittings; and an under-sink or reverse osmosis filter you supply yourself is $230 rather than $200, because the plumber cannot confirm the unit until they are under the sink.
What tap installation includes
- A licensed NSW plumber (Lic. 498555C) — never a subcontracted handyman
- Removal and disposal of the old fitting
- All standard connections, and new flexible hoses where needed
- Full pressure and leak testing before we leave
- Tidy-up, and a 12-month workmanship warranty on the installation
Why fixed beats hourly
A typical Sydney plumber quotes a call-out fee plus an hourly rate, so the price depends on traffic, parking and how the job goes — you find out the real cost at the end. Our price is the whole number up front: if a job takes longer than expected, that is our problem, not yours. There is no charge for choosing one day over another, and the price you book is the price you pay: $1 online to book, the rest once the job is done.
Bundle and save. One visit, less for each extra.
The item with the highest install rate pays its normal price, and most other items fitted in the same visit drop to a discounted add-on rate, because the plumber is already at your door. For example, a laundry tub, a shower and a kitchen tap installed in one visit: $600 instead of $810.

We fit it
If you bought the fixture from us, your plumber brings it on the day; if you are using your own, have it on site ready to fit.
We install across most of the Sydney metro area seven days a week. Order an in-stock item before 12pm Sydney time and tomorrow can be offered while a slot is still free; made-to-order items are booked once they arrive.
Tap installation by type
Standard replacement means removing and taking away the old tap, securely fitting the tap you supply to existing service points, checking the hoses and valves, and testing flow and leaks. Have the tap and all its supplied components ready on site.
Bring Your Own Tap installation is $180 including GST for standard replacement of a mixer, or $220 for a 3-piece tap set. The fit checks below help you confirm the job before booking.
Kitchen mixers
We fit kitchen, pull-out and pull-down mixers to the existing sink service points. Check the number and position of the tap openings, the spout reach into the sink and the existing connections. Ask us first if the new layout would need pipework moved.
Basin taps and mixers
We replace basin mixers, basin sets and pin lever taps at existing service points. Match the tap openings and check that the spout reaches the basin. A change from a basin set to a mixer needs a compatibility check; send photos before booking if the layout differs.
Laundry taps and mixers
We fit the laundry tap or mixer you supply using the existing connections. Check the tap openings, outlet type and spout reach over the tub. This tap service is for the tapware; replacing the tub or cabinet uses our laundry tub installation service.
Shower mixers
Shower mixers and wall mixer bodies are included for standard replacement at existing service points. Check compatibility with the existing body and connections before booking. If access needs wall work or the plumbing must change, ask us to check the scope first. A shower head or rail is a separate service.
Bath spouts
We replace bathtub spouts and wall-mounted outlets on the existing service points. Check the outlet type, existing connection and spout reach over the bath. Moving an outlet or changing pipework is outside standard replacement and needs the extra work agreed first.
Outdoor taps
We fit garden and outdoor taps on existing outlets. Check that the tap suits the outlet and existing connection. A new tap location or major pipework changes are outside standard replacement; the plumber explains any additional work and cost before you approve it.

How much does a plumber charge to replace a kitchen tap in Sydney?
Our price is a fixed $180 including GST for a kitchen, basin or laundry tap, across most of Sydney metro. A 3-piece tap set you supply (a spout and two separate handles) is $220, because it takes longer to fit and needs different fittings. If you buy the tap from us, the price on the product page already includes the tap, delivery and installation in one number.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. There is no call-out fee, no hourly rate and no minimum spend — travel within our service area is included in the fixed installation price.
Do I save money by having several items installed at once?
Yes. The item with the highest install rate pays its normal price, and most other items fitted in the same visit drop to a discounted add-on rate — extra taps are $50 each ($90 for a 3-piece set you supply), for example. The exceptions are cooktops, whole-home filtration systems, dishwashers and gas cooktop cap-offs, each priced per unit.
Can you install a tap or shower I already bought from Bunnings or online?
Yes — our Bring Your Own services cover installation only, at the same fixed install rates as a fixture we supply. Buy the Bring Your Own product that matches your item, pick a day at checkout, and we install the unit you supply. There are two exceptions: a 3-piece tap set you supply adds $40 to the tap rate, because it takes longer to fit and needs different fittings, and an under-sink water filtration system you supply is priced a little higher than one we supply, because the plumber cannot confirm the model and its fittings in advance.
How soon can you install?
Checkout shows the days we currently have open for your service, and every available day costs the same: there is no priority or rush fee. Order an in-stock item before 12pm Sydney time and tomorrow can be offered while a slot is still free. We install seven days a week (Fridays: mornings only). Whole-home filtration, vanity and laundry tub installs are not booked on Fridays. Made-to-order items are booked once they arrive.
When do I pay?
Book online with a $1 payment by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The rest is paid after installation, once the job is done — by cash or PayID, as set out on your invoice.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. Our 12-month workmanship warranty covers our installation: if our work causes a fault, we come back and put it right at no charge. If we supplied the product, come to us about any fault, and we handle its product claim and liaise with the manufacturer where needed. If you supplied the product, its own warranty stays with its seller or manufacturer. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are additional. To report a fault, email [email protected] with your order number and a photo.
Is replacing a shower mixer the same as fitting a shower head or rail?
No. Shower mixers and wall mixer bodies are tapware, covered by the Bring Your Own Tap service for standard replacement at existing service points. Shower heads, hand showers, rails and twin shower sets use the separate Bring Your Own Shower Head/Rails service. Send us photos before booking if you are unsure which service you need.
Does the fixed tap installation price include moving pipes or opening a wall?
The fixed fee covers standard replacement on existing, compliant plumbing connections. Major pipework changes or compliance upgrades are extra work: the plumber explains the cost before doing any additional work and asks for your approval. If a wall-mounted mixer may need wall work, contact us with photos before booking so we can check the scope.
