Bring Your Own Under-Sink Filter

This service covers virtually every under-sink drinking water system — reverse osmosis (RO), multi-stage cartridge filters, alkaline and mineral systems, twin and triple housings, and quick-change units from brands such as Puretec, Stefani, Filter Systems Australia, Aquasana, Waterdrop and more.

What’s involved in the installation

1. Isolate and prepare — we shut off and isolate the cold water supply under your sink and protect the cabinet before starting.
2. Mount the unit — the housing or RO manifold is bracketed securely to the cabinet wall, upright and serviceable, so cartridges can be changed easily later.
3. Tee into the cold supply — we install a proper compression tee and isolation valve on the cold line, so the filter can be shut off independently without turning off your kitchen.
4. Fit the filter tap — if your kit includes a dedicated drinking tap, we drill and mount it to the sink or benchtop (stainless steel and laminate included) and run the tubing neatly.
5. Drain connection for RO systems — reverse osmosis units need a waste line, so we fit a drain saddle or connect to the tailpiece to Australian standards.
6. Flush and commission — new cartridges are flushed to clear carbon fines, the system is pressurised, and RO tanks are charged and checked.
7. Leak test and tidy up — every joint is pressure checked, the cabinet is dried and cleaned, and packaging is taken away with us.

Why not do it yourself?

In New South Wales, connecting to your drinking water supply is regulated plumbing work. A DIY connection that later leaks can give your insurer grounds to refuse a claim, and a badly fitted RO drain line can siphon waste water back toward your drinking supply. Having it installed by a licensed plumber keeps the work compliant and your drinking water safe.
