What does shower installation include?
This is a replacement installation at your existing shower outlet. The service covers rain heads, fixed shower heads, hand showers, rail sets and compatible twin shower sets.
- Removing the old shower fitting.
- Fitting the shower head, handset or rail set you supply at the existing outlet.
- New wall fixings where needed, and sealing wall penetrations.
- Checking the finished installation for flow and leaks.
- Cleaning up the installation work area.
Will a new rail or twin set fit?
A new set needs to suit the existing outlet and wall. Send a photo of your current shower and the fitting you plan to supply if you are unsure about the connection, rail or fixing positions.
The fixed service uses the existing outlet. Moving the plumbing or changing the shower mixer is separate work: ask us about the scope before you book. Any extra work is explained, priced and agreed before it starts.

Already bought a shower? The installation-only rate is $180 including GST; have your new fitting and its supplied parts ready on site.

Shower installation by type
Rain shower heads
We replace the rain head or fixed overhead rose at the existing outlet, seal the connection and check flow and leaks. Check the outlet thread and position, and the fitting's stated water-pressure requirements before booking. Send the product details and a photo of the wall and any fixing points if you are unsure about the fit.
Moving the outlet or correcting corroded pipework is separate work. The plumber explains the work and cost for your approval before it starts.
Hand showers on a rail
We fit the handset, hose and rail you supply to the existing outlet, with wall fixings where needed, sealed wall penetrations and flow and leak checks. Check the outlet thread and position, wall type and bracket fixing points against the set you plan to supply.
Send photos before booking if the wall or layout needs checking. A new outlet or re-tiling is separate work, priced and agreed before it starts.
Rail sets
Replacement rail showers and slide shower sets are mounted and connected at the existing outlet. Standard fitting includes new wall fixings where needed, sealing and flow and leak testing. Check the outlet thread and position, wall type and the new rail's bracket positions against the existing fixings.
Send photos if the fixing positions differ. Moving the outlet or re-tiling is outside standard fitting; any extra work and price are agreed first.
Twin showers
We fit a compatible twin set, with an overhead rose and handset on a rail, at the existing outlet. Wall fixings where needed, sealing and flow and leak testing are included. Check the outlet thread and position, wall type, bracket positions and the overhead head's stated water-pressure requirements.
Ask us to check photos and the product details before booking if you are unsure. Outlet changes, corroded pipework or a seized isolation valve need separate work, explained and priced for your approval first.
Shower arms
We replace shower arms, wall elbows and shower hoses at the existing outlet, seal the connections and check flow and leaks. Check the outlet thread and position and where the arm will place the shower head. Include photos of the wall and any mounting points if you want us to check the fit.
A new outlet position or re-tiling is a separate job. Any additional work and its price are explained and agreed before starting.
Before you book

- Have your new shower fitting and its supplied parts ready on site. Send a photo if you want us to check the fit first.
- Review shower installation details and your total, add the service to the cart, then choose an available day and arrival window at checkout.
Book online with a $1 payment by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The rest is paid after installation, once the job is done — by cash or PayID, as set out on your invoice.
Installation has a 12-month workmanship warranty. If you bought the shower from TapLife, come to us for faulty supplied parts. Manufacturer warranty cover and your consumer-law rights remain separate. Read our warranty and returns policy.

How much does shower head or rail installation cost in Sydney?

Can you install a twin shower set or hand shower I already own?
Yes. The service covers compatible twin shower sets, hand showers, rail sets, fixed shower heads and rain heads. The fitting needs to suit your existing outlet and wall; send us a photo before booking if you are unsure.
Are wall fixings and leak testing included?
Yes. New wall fixings are fitted where needed, wall penetrations are sealed, and the finished shower installation is checked for flow and leaks.
Does shower head and rail installation include replacing the shower mixer?
No. This service replaces the shower fitting at the existing outlet. Replacing the shower mixer is separate tapware work. Use our Bring Your Own Tap service for a compatible standard mixer replacement at existing service points, or send us photos before booking if the plumbing or wall needs work.
Can you fit two or more showers in one visit?
Yes. Set the quantity to the number of showers you need fitted. Each additional shower installed during the same visit uses the reduced additional-shower rate. The installation-only breakdown on the service page updates as you change the quantity. Check your live total before booking.
Will you take away my old shower head or rail?
Yes. When fitting your replacement at the existing outlet, we disconnect and take away the old shower head, rail or arm. We clean the work area and remove the rubbish. Check what shower installation includes.
