Dishwasher installation cost in Sydney: what's included

The fixed installation price is $200 including GST for one dishwasher you supply. There is no call-out fee or hourly rate. The price covers installation into an existing dishwasher space using the water, waste and power points already there.

The plumber connects the dishwasher you have bought and checks the installation before leaving. The fixed price includes:

• Turning off the water, disconnecting your old dishwasher if there is one, and moving it out of the space.
• Connecting the water supply hose to the existing dishwasher tap.
• Connecting the drain hose to the existing waste outlet under the sink.
• Sliding the new dishwasher into place, levelling it and securing it to the benchtop or cabinets.
• A test run to check every connection for leaks.
• Cleaning up and taking our rubbish with us.

Have the dishwasher on site before the plumber arrives, together with the hoses and fixing kit that came with it. We also need:

• A space already set up for a dishwasher, with a water tap for it.
• A waste connection under the sink and a power point nearby.
• Access to the kitchen and the water shut-off.

The fixed price covers the existing dishwasher position and connections. It does not include:

• Fitting a new water tap or waste connection where there is none.
• Cutting or modifying cabinets or benchtops to make a space.
• Any electrical work: the dishwasher must plug into an existing power point.
• Taking the old dishwasher away.
• Supplying the dishwasher.

A seized tap or a waste connection in the wrong place may only become clear when the plumber arrives. The plumber explains what is needed and what it costs before doing anything further. Nothing extra is charged without your approval, and you are free to say no.

Disconnecting an old dishwasher and moving it out of the space is included. Taking the old dishwasher away is outside the fixed price.

1. Check your postcode and suburb in our service area. We install across most of Sydney metro.
2. Have the dishwasher, its hoses and fixing kit on site. Your existing dishwasher space needs its water tap, waste connection and power point, with access to the kitchen and water shut-off.
3. Review the service details and your total, add the service to the cart, then choose an available day and arrival window at checkout.

Book online with a $1 payment by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The rest is paid after installation, once the job is done — by cash or PayID, as set out on your invoice.

Our 12-month workmanship warranty covers the installation: the connections we made and the way we fitted it. The dishwasher you supply keeps its own manufacturer’s warranty. Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply on top of both. Read our warranty and returns policy.
